I am a retired secondary science teacher and university professor. My studio is in Dixon where I create art from wood, stone and steel. I usually present my work at the Dixon Studio Tour, the Contemporary Hispanic Market and other juried art shows. I create functional art that inspires us to reimagine our childhood experiences with earthly materials. I work mostly with mesquite wood that is inlaid with turquoise, fossil ammonites and other stones. I also create designs such as flowers, trees, animals and landscapes.
