I am from Silverton, Oregon and have a Fine Arts degree focused on drawing, painting, and printmaking from Eastern Oregon University (2000). I came to New Mexico in 2005 with a few silversmithing skills and was immediately put to work in a jewelry studio in Santa Fe.
I settled in Dixon in 2009 with my sweetheart, the painter Eli Levin. Year-round, I attend drawing groups, work in the jewelry studio, and paint outdoors in oils- all endeavors fed by living close to the land and water of the Rio Embudo.
2026 Artist Statement
First I'll just really like a stone and then it becomes a matter of imagination and problem solving. Jewelry design and the making of it is a skill and a pleasure I feel very fortunate to have been given the time to build upon. For over twenty years I have had the privilege of honing my hand-eye coordination at the level of a jeweler- not the most precise, but a very heartfelt endeavor for sure.
